The TBM (today Daher TBM) is a high-performance single-engine turboprop utility aircraft that was originally developed in collaboration with the American Mooney Airplane Company and the French light aircraft company SOCATA, who together initiate a program called “TBM International” to serve the American market and the European market, however later in 1991, Mooney affected by problems of fiscal deficits: he withdrew from the participation of TBM International and Socata became the main company in charge of the program. The first prototype named TBM-700 flew for the first time in July 1988 and was certified by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) in August 1990.

The TBM developed through variations such as the TBM700 A/B/C/N. The TBM 850 G1000/Elite, The TBM900 – 910/930/940 up to the current DAHER TBM960 that has a Garmin 3000 glass cockpit and autopilot.
